D&D Encounters Adventures
Halaster’s Lost ApprenticeD&D Encounters: Season 1
This is where it all began, the very first adventure. It ran over 12 weeks and I remember having a great time playing it. It was written by Eric Scott de Bie who went on to write Lost Crown of Neverwinter (season 6 adventure) and Storm over Neverwinter (season 12 adventure). Halaster’s Lost Apprentice took place in the Forgotten Realms and was a pretty standard dungeon crawl adventure that featured some familiar NPCs who appeared in de Bie’s novel Downshadow. Players had the option of porting their PC from this adventure into Living Forgotten Realms (LFR) when the season ended. Now available for sale at DnD Classics.com. |

Dark Sun: Fury of the WastewalkerD&D Encounters: Season 2
As a precursor to the launch of the upcoming 4e Dark Sun Campaign Guide, the second season of D&D Encounters was set in Athas and introduced a whole new generation of gamers to Dark Sun. It was brutal, it was deadly, it was unlike any 4e adventure most of us had played before. And it was great. The adventure ran 15 weeks and was originally broken into three separate booklets, each containing five encounters. A lot of players resented having to use pre-generated characters (since none of the character creation materials specific to Dark Sun were out when the season began) but most got over it eventually. Now available for sale at DnD Classics.com. |

Dark Legacy of EvardD&D Encounters: Season 5
Older players knew the name Evard from the classic Wizard’s spell Evard’s Black Tentacles. Building on that familiarity the adventure had the heroes investigate the defiling of Evard’s tomb and battle creatures of the Shadowfell, coincidentally enough at the same time The Shadowfell boxed set was released. The adventure was ran 13 weeks. Now available for download in Dungeon issue #219 (Oct 2013). DDI subscription required. Now available for sale at DnD Classics.com. |

Beyond the Crystal CaveD&D Encounters: Season 7
Inspired by the classic module of the same name, this adventure introduced the Feywild to 4e D&D. The source book Heroes of the Feywild was released as the season began encouraging players to try new race and class options. The adventure ran 13 weeks. It was a fan favourite despite it’s exceptionally difficult combat encounters early on. There was a lot of chances for great role-playing and some clever traps and puzzles for PCs to overcome. I gave it 8/10 in my report card. Now available for download in Dungeon issue #211 (Feb 2013). DDI subscription required. |

The Elder Elemental EyeD&D Encounters: Season 8
Despite having Elemental in the title, this was not a re-imagining of the classic Temple of Elemental Evil. The adventure was tied in to the Abyssal Plague story line running through Wizards’ novels at the time. This adventure ran 11 weeks and it was great for introducing players to D&D as the story was very straightforward and linear. There was a good mix of role-playing, combat and exploration. I gave it 7/10 in my report card. Now available for download in Dungeon issue #214 (May 2013). DDI subscription required.

Murder in Baldur’s GateD&D Encounters: Season 15
Beginning with season 15 D&D Encounters adventures were no longer provided to participating DMs for free. The adventure was now a product for sale like any other. In order to justify the cost Wizards provided a lot of material with the product including a 32-page adventure booklet, a 64-page campaign guide, and a DM screen. The PCs arrive in Baldur’s Gate and witness the assassination of the Duke. They are then caught up in the political struggle by three power players as they vie for power.This adventure ran 12 weeks, but as a home campaign could easily run a lot longer. It’s a solid package and well worth the price. Now available for sale at your FLGS and online at Amazon.com and Chapters.Indigo.ca.

Vault of the Dracolich (Game Day)Search for the Diamond Staff
D&D Encounters: Season 14 As an introduction or prequel to season 14 of D&D Encounters, Wizards released this special Game Day advenutre. It was designed especially for D&D Next.This super-adventure had multiple parties of adventurers simultaneously assault the lair of an undead dragon. It was an experiment that worked amazingly well.When we ran this we had five parties each with six PCs. I was the coordinating DM. We had a blast. It was one of the most exciting D&D adventures I’ve ever been played.I’d give this a solid 10/10. Read more in my D&D Game Day: Vault of the Dracolich – Wrap up. What about the maps? There have been a bunch of limited edition maps that have appeared in different encounter seasons that I'd love to get my hands on. I know that, for example, the library map from Dark Legacy of Evard was reprinted in the temples/churches map pack, but what about others?
Great round-up. You should link to the report card posts for the first modules as well. I find they're pretty great reviews. (Update: Oh I see you didn't do one for the first season!)
Ameron, will there be a report card for Murder in Baldur’s Gate? I'm interested in your overall opinion of this module.
@Peter
The Report Card will be up later today. Also check out our Recounting Encounters Final Report episode also available today.
What about the scan quality?
@Nick V.
I haven't seen the versions available on DnDClassics but the ones in Dungeon Magazine are perfect.
