The Guardians is the third module offering from the team at Dungeon’s Master. This module continues the adventure path started in our first module, The Magistrate’s Daughter, and the second module, The Spy In Our Midst. It is designed for second level characters. Playing all three modules should provide PCs with enough experience to advance to the midpoint of second level. Enjoy the module and we would appreciate your feedback.
The Guardians
Fear of coming conflict lead Magistrate D’blasin to seek the assistance of The Guardians, a mysterious group of Eladrins sworn to protect the forest and its inhabitants. The Ranger, Darandir Keeves set out to find The Guardians weeks ago and now his wolf companion returns to Caindel alone. The Magistrate fears the worst and asks that the PCs find his missing friend and continue the mission the Ranger began by locating The Guardians.

Nice work.
I’ve added a higher resolution version of the temple map on RPGMapshare. Great site for maps. Check them out. Defaults to the lower res version. Click the pull-down menu on the upper right of the screen there.

Any plans to extend the series any further?
@Jeff
Thanks for commenting.
When we first launched Dungeon’s Master we intended to release a full adventure every 2-3 months. And then we actually put a few of them together and found out how much work was involved.
Both Wimwick and I want to provide complete adventures for free download, but we also want to ensure that they are solid. We don’t want to slap something together quickly just to say we did it.
In our recent discussions we’ve talked about doing one-off encounters or mini dungeon delve style adventures rather than a full blown module. We also think that if we revisit this idea it’ll have to be at paragon or epic level.
I really like where the series is going! Is there any chance you and Wimwick will continue, or create other modules?
Thanks for doing such a great job!
@Alison
We had lofty goals when we first started this blog way back in 2009 and one of the things we planned to do was write a new adventure every 1-2 months. However, we had no idea how much work was really involved putting something like this together and regrettably just ran out of steam. We did have a rough idea of where we wanted the adventure path to go. Perhaps that’s something we’ll polish and then publish for anyone who ran these first three adventures and wants some ideas for where to take the game next.
This is a really cool series of modules! Thank you for creating these and taking the time to put them out there for people.
Hey Derek,
Long time! The old lady got sick, and I’ve since moved back to Jamaica. Hence my absence from the tables of Hairy T. Nonetheless- I’d be interested in lending a hand to your adventure writing if you want. I’m all down for that shiz. Especially since (basically) bringing DnD to Jamaica!
@Leslie
We were just talking about you this week at Hairy T wondering if you were coming back or if you’d come back and just ditched us. I’ll email you and we can figure something out. Good to hear from you.
