We’ve updated the skill matrixes by class and race. The existing skill aides for players and DMs now include materials presented in the Eberron Player’s Guide.
- The player’s aide has three new races: Changeling, Kalashtar and Warforged.
- The DM’s aide has the skills breakdown for the Artificer.
We’ve also added a new monster matrix for players and DMs. This is similar to the player’s aide except that it collects the monstrous PC race options presented in the Monster Manual and the Monster Manual 2. Those monsters later printed in other sourcebooks have been included in the player’s aide only.
- Skill Matrix by Class – DM Aide updated
- Skill Matrix by Race – Player Aide updated
- Skill Matrix by Race (Monsters) – Player Aide new
If you’re like me you probably generate all of your character using the DDI Character Builder. However, these skill aides are still incredibly useful if you want to get a quick overview of which races get bonuses in which abilities and skill. I’ve found that these are great resources when I’m not in front of my home computer (where I have the Character Builder) and need to look something up.
We’ll continue to update these skill aides as new sourcebooks are released for 4e D&D. If there is something you’d like to see added to the next update of these aides, we welcome your suggestions. If you have suggestions for different skill aides you’d find useful, please leave us a comment below.

sweet docs, the DM one helps me with building skill challenges, would like to see some sort of common rating, ie how many classes have access to this skill.
